CODE OF BUSINESS ETHICS

POLICY PURPOSE

LCM/DK2 Inc. places the highest value on being an ethical organization and expects all employees to always act in an ethical and lawful manner, and in the best interests of LCM/DK2 Inc. The Code of Business Ethics (referred to as the Code) sets out the overarching organizational values that provide clear and concise direction regarding expected behaviour in the workplace. The Code of Business Ethics helps employees distinguish right from wrong and guides employee decision making. Behaving in accordance with the Code will ensure the LCM/DK2 Inc. workforce promotes and maintains a positive and inclusive experience for everyone.

 

SCOPE

The following Code of Business Ethics outlines how we expect all employees to behave as well as the consequences for unacceptable behaviour. We require that all LCM/DK2 Inc. employees abide by this Code. Employees who are unsure whether their conduct or the conduct of their co-workers complies with the Code should contact their manager or the President’s office. This policy applies to everyone LCM/DK2 Inc. employs or have business relations with. This includes individual people such as employees, interns, volunteers, vendors, contractors, and customers.

Performance at LCM/DK2 Inc. is assessed against the expectations and requirements of the role, which includes both Objectives ‘what you do’ and Competencies ‘how you behave’. The LCM/DK2 Inc. Competency Model provides a consistent and concentrated focus on behaviours that will maintain the legality of the business and a professional, healthy workplace, while driving results essential to success. COMPLIANCE WITH LAW

All employees must protect our company’s legality. They should comply with all environmental, safety and fair dealing laws. We expect employees to be ethical and responsible when dealing with our company’s finances, products, partnerships, and public image.

 

REPORTING A VIOLATION

An employee who believes they have been subjected to a Code of Business Ethics or a Code of Business Conduct violation has a responsibility to promptly report the issue to their manager. No retaliation or reprisals will be undertaken or tolerated against any employee who, in good faith, complains of, reports, or participates in the investigation of any allegations of workplace misconduct. Employees need to be reasonably knowledgeable and sensitive and understand the distinction between minor infractions and more serious issues.
